However, the actual retention time depends on the growth rate and lifespan of your natural lashes. Because each lash extension is attached to a separate natural lash, it falls off when the natural lash falls. The lifespan of a natural lash can last from just two weeks to as long as eight weeks. Why do I need to come in every 2-3 weeks if my lashes still "look good to me"? We still need to remove the grown out extensions even if your retention is great! Light maintenance is recommended every 2-3 weeks to preserve the health of your lashes. You've invested in these beautiful fluffy lashes but you can't forget to protect what's holding them up! As your natural lashes grow, the weight distribution of each extension will change and if left this way, breakage of the natural lash can occur. Once your extensions grow out 3-5mm from the lash line they have to be removed (no worries, we will know what to do). Maintenance is just as important as cleansing!
